Description
This training course focuses on practical first aid measures for emergencies in infants and newborns, as well as life-saving interventions for adults. The measures taught are specifically tailored to age-related characteristics and anatomical differences. Topics include: - Procedures for individuals in need of assistance - Unconsciousness - Breathing control (with a special focus on age-related differences) - Lateral and prone positions - Emergency recognition in newborns - Resuscitation of infants, children, and adults – including the use of a bag valve - Use of an automated external defibrillator (AED) - Foreign bodies in the airways - Emergencies during pregnancy and the postpartum period
Zielgruppe
The emergency training is aimed at midwives who have to complete training hours in the area of emergency management as part of their continuing education requirement.
Requirement
There are no special prerequisites. Participation is possible without any specific prior knowledge.
Time & Place
The seminar lasts seven hours and can be held either in our training rooms or as an in-house event – for example, in a midwifery practice. To ensure a pleasant learning environment, we also provide refreshments – tea and coffee are available.
Cost

recognition
The emergency training for midwives is recognized by the Soest District Health Department and is certified with 8 hours of continuing education.
